COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL HYPNOTHERAPY
What if healing felt less like
fixing yourself
and more like coming home to yourself?
This work, I believe, lives at the intersection of the imagination and human connection - weaving together mindfulness, psycho-education, and creativity into a space where you can truly show up as yourself.
I bring a colourful combination of lived experience. That's not a disclaimer. That's the foundation.
From late diagnosed ADHD to early childhood trauma, maternal loss, adoption and surrogacy, pregnancy loss, adult relationship abuse, grief, addiction, career transitions, anxiety, severe burnout and depression. Not in the past tense. Not neatly resolved. But navigated, day by day, through the very tools I now bring into my work.
And if you relate to this, you are in the right place.
These experiences have taught me that healing isn't linear. Any shame and fear you carry is residue from life's experiences, and they can be reframed when you are given the space to be heard and understood in your own words.
I'm not here because I have all the answers, but to co-create a space where you can be seen and heard in your own process, feel acknowledged, find acceptance, and come back home to yourself.

WHAT IS HYPNO-CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy — what it actually is
Hypno-CBT brings together two evidence-based approaches:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - which helps you understand and gently shift the thought patterns and behaviours keeping you stuck.
Hypnotherapy and Hypnosis - which creates a deeply relaxed, focused state where your mind becomes unusually open to change.
Think of CBT as the map and Hypnosis as the vehicle. CBT helps you understand why you feel the way you do and what you want to change. The hypnotic state allows that insight to land somewhere deeper - not just as an idea you understand, but as something you genuinely begin to feel differently about.
WHAT CBT BRINGS
-
Identifying unhelpful thought patterns
-
Understanding the story you've been telling yourself
-
Building new, more useful responses
-
Practical tools you can use between sessions
WHAT HYPNOSIS ADDS
-
A deeply relaxed, focused mental state
-
Greater openness to suggestion and change
-
Access to patterns that sit below conscious thought
-
Self-hypnosis techniques you take away with you
LET'S CLEAR SOMETHING UP
Hypnosis is not what you've seen on TV. You are always in control. The work only goes where you want it to go. I'm here to guide, not to fix.
You won't cluck like a chicken.
You won't lose control.
You won't be asleep or unaware.
Hypnosis is simply a state of focused, relaxed attention - closer to the feeling of being absorbed in a good book, or that hazy moment just before sleep, than anything mysterious.
In that state, your mind is more open, not more vulnerable. You're still you. You still have your values, your boundaries, your voice. What shifts is the usual mental static - the noise that makes it hard for new ways of thinking to settle.
MORE THAN JUST WORDS
Healing doesn't always happen through talking.
Sometimes the most important thing happening in a session has no words at all. I've found in my own life and in my work, that creativity opens doors that conversation can't always reach.
Sound & Music
Sound can regulate the nervous system before a single word is spoken. I use music, voice and sound mindfully - to create safety, to process emotion, to anchor calm.
Art & Image Making
When something is too complex or painful to say aloud, making an image of it can be the beginning of understanding. No artistic ability required - just willingness.
Movement & Dance
Emotions live in the body. Gentle, expressive movement can help shift what talking alone sometimes can't - releasing tension, reconnecting you to yourself.
Writing & Reflection
Words have their own magic too - journaling, free writing, guided reflection - helping you make meaning and find your own narrative.
These aren't extras bolted on. They're woven into how I work, chosen because they suit you, not applied to everyone by default.
