Confidentiality
All information shared during sessions is treated with strict confidentiality. However, there are certain exceptions where disclosure may be legally or ethically required, such as:

-
If there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others
-
If there is disclosure of abuse or harm to a child or vulnerable adult
-
If required by a court of law

In such cases, I will always aim to speak with you first before any further action is taken, unless doing so would be unsafe or inappropriate.
Scope of Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) is a structured, evidence-based approach that combines cognitive behavioural techniques with hypnosis to help clients address a variety of psychological and behavioural concerns. I will ask you to complete documentation relating to your health, wellbeing, and the issue(s) you would like to work on.

If it becomes apparent that your needs fall outside my area of competence, I will discuss this with you and suggest appropriate alternatives. This may include referring you to your GP or another qualified healthcare professional.

Supervision

As part of my professional practice and ethical responsibility, I engage in regular supervision to ensure safe and effective therapy. During supervision, your case may be discussed anonymously. No identifying information will be shared, and the supervisor is also bound by confidentiality.

Insurance

I hold full professional indemnity and public liability insurance through Balens Insurance.
Code of Ethics

I adhere to the NCH Code of Ethics and Conduct, which is available to you upon request. I am committed to providing therapy in a respectful, non-judgemental, and professional manner at all times.
